NEW HAVEN, CT : Woman walking in New Haven is struck, killed on Tuesday, January 17th 2017

New Haven Police say a woman walking in the city has been struck by a vehicle and killed.

Police say the accident occurred Tuesday at York Street and South Frontage Road.

They say the driver remained at the scene and is cooperating with investigators.

Police didn’t immediately identify the victim or the driver publicly.

Roads leading to the scene were closed.
