The Washington State Patrol says two people have been killed and three injured in a Friday morning collision on Highway 20 near Sedro-Woolley.
Trooper Mark Francis says on Twitter that two of the injured were airlifted to a hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The Transportation Department says traffic is detoured to the South Skagit Highway while Highway 20 is closed for the investigation.
