EAST BURKE, VT : A 68-year-old man died when the motorcycle on April, Friday 28th 2017

A 68-year-old man died when the motorcycle he was riding drove off the side of Route 114 in East Burke and crashed Friday.
Vermont State Police said in a statement that William E. Murphy was being transported to a hospital when he died of his injuries.

Murphy was riding his 1998 Harley Davidson motorcycle northbound on Route 114 at about 3:30 p.m. Friday when the bike went off the road.

Police said Murphy was wearing proper safety gear at the time of the crash.

The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
