One woman died in a single vehicle, roll-over wreck on State Road 79 at Pine Log Road in Bay County and two of her family members suffered injuries, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Jamie Rose McClendon, 27, was pronounced dead following the wreck at about 1:30 p.m. Friday, FHP reported.
Donald McClendon, 30, and 9-year-old Nicholas McClendon were taken to the hospital afterward. Donald, the driver of the 2003 Jeep Liberty, sustained serious injuries in the crash while the child sustained minor injuries, officers reported.
According to FHP, the family from Crawfordville was driving south on State 79 near the intersection with Pine Log road when Donald McClendon failed to negotiate a left curve. The vehicle continued travelling onto the grass shoulder, through a ditch and into the wood line where it crashed into a pine tree, officers reported.
After the impact, the vehicle spun and overturned before striking another pine tree with its front passenger-side. The right front passenger, Jamie McClendon, died at the scene, FHP reported.
Troopers continue to investigate the crash and had yet to announce any charges.
