Fort Myers, FL : Two Fort Myers men killed in crash on McGregor Boulevard on Wednesday, 8th January, 2020

Two Fort Myers men were killed early Wednesday in a single-car crash along McGregor Blvd.

The Florida Highway Patrol said Porter Danforth White, 19, and Brendan Matthew Blecher, 20, were killed when their 2017 Volkswagen Golf hit a concrete median at McGregor Park Circle.

An FHP report said White was driving the car north in the inside lane of McGregor

and lost control of the vehicle shortly before 2 a.m.The car ran off the roadway to the right, spun and collided with the median. The left side of the vehicle then collided with a tree.

Both men died at the scene.
