Maquoketa motorsports store manager killed in motorcycle crash

The manager of a Maquoketa, Iowa, motorsports business was killed Sunday when his motorcycle crashed into a skid loader.The Linn County Sheriff’s Office identified the man as 27-year-old Kole Kromminga, of Anamosa, Iowa.The skid loader driver was not injured. He was identified as 29-year-old Kurtis McCabe, of Marion, Iowa.The accident happened around 11:30 a.m. Sunday near Troy Mills in eastern Iowa. Paramedics and sheriff’s deputies responded to the crash and found that the dirt bike had struck the back of the skid loader.Kromminga was pronounced dead at the scene.
