Lake City, SC : Sharon W. Lane, 47 killed after car hits logging truck in Lake City on Wednesday morning, December 3, 2014

A Marion woman was killed in a car crash on Indian Town Road in Lake City Wednesday morning. Sharon W. Lane, 47, of Marion, has been identified as the victim in the crash, according to Florence County Coroner Keith von Lutcken. According to the South Carolina Highway Patrol the crash happened around 6:30 a.m. Wednesday about one mile from SC 341. The Highway Patrol says an 18 wheeler was backing out of a driveway when the driver of a GMC vehicle ran into the truck. The 18-wheeler was identified as a logging truck by Lutcken. Lutcken said the driver of the GMC was the only occupant in that vehicle. The incident is still under investigation by the S.C. Highway Patrol. Source : One killed after car hits logging truck
