PORTLAND, OR : Woman killed in deadly NE Marine Drive crash on Friday, 23rd February 2024

Portland police said one person is dead after a crash near Portland International Airport Friday.

At 11:25 p.m., officers responded to reports of a crash in the 7000 block of Northeast Marine Drive. When officers arrived at the scene, they found two cars that crashed into each other. Officers said the driver of one of the cars was dead at the scene. The other driver, 22-year-old Maria L. Moncada of Gresham, was taken to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Police said the woman who died was parked westbound off the roadway and was hit behind by Moncada. Police believe alcohol and speeding are factors in the crash.
