A motorcycle rider was critically injured in a Tuesday night crash in central Fort Collins.
Doug Horst, 50, was driving a motorcycle west on Prospect Road about 8:35 p.m. As he approached the intersection of Whedbee Street, Horst saw headlights and locked up his brakes, causing the bike to turn onto its right
side and slide through the intersection, said Kate Kimble, police spokeswoman.
Horst slid into the turning Mercury Milan sedan and was seriously injured. Poudre Valley Hospital EMS treated and transported him to Medical Center of the Rockies in Loveland, where he was listed in critical condition
