ALBUQUERQUE, NM : Baby injured in crash in Southeast Albuquerque on Wednesday, 22nd August 2018

A baby was injured in a two-vehicle crash at Truman and Zuni SE Wednesday afternoon, according to an Albuquerque Police Department spokesman.

“A mother holding her 4-month-old infant in the passenger seat of a vehicle was struck from behind causing the infant to sustain injuries,” officer Simon Drobik wrote in an email. “The infant was taken to a local hospital in an unknown condition.”

He said the intersection has been shut down to one lane heading eastbound.

“The accident scene is being held pending an update from the hospital,” Drobik said.
