Richmond, VA : A Petersburg woman died in a single-vehicle crash on Sunday, July 2, 2017

A Petersburg woman died in a single-vehicle crash in Dinwiddie County on Sunday afternoon.

Tammy H. Luck, 49, was driving east on U.S. Route 460 in a Pontiac Torrent when it ran off the right side of the road about 4 p.m., state police said. She then overcorrected, causing the vehicle to strike an embankment on the other side of the road, police said.

Luck was ejected and died at the scene.

State police said she was not wearing a seat belt.

State police said alcohol was not a factor and that the investigation was ongoing.
