Pensacola,FL : Suspect avoided traffic stop, crashed into garage and ran on January, Monday 5th 2018

Authorities have arrested a Pensacola man after they say he hit a garage while eluding police and then ran from the scene.

The Pensacola Police Department issued a statement via social media around 6 p.m. Monday saying officers were searching for a suspect, later identified as Anthony Abrams, 31, after he crashed into a property.

PPD spokesman Mike Wood said an officer was attempting a traffic stop on Abrams' vehicle in the area of A and Moreno streets, but Abrams continued without stopping.

Wood said the officer didn't pursue him but saw Abrams' vehicle had wrecked nearby, damaging a garage on A Street.
