Lincoln, NE : Both drivers were injured in a collision on Saturday, July 15, 2017
Both drivers were injured in a collision that flipped over one of the cars Saturday morning on Abbott Drive near Locust Street.
Hanna Sieh was driving a maroon 2004 Chevrolet Blazer north on Abbott about 7:10 a.m. when she was rear-ended by a gray 2006 Chevrolet Equinox, driven by Michael McAlexander, according to Omaha police.
The Blazer was pushed over a raised median into the southbound lanes, and the Equinox flipped over and slid down the road, destroying a “String of Pearls” light pole.
Both drivers had non-life-threatening injuries, police said. Sieh was taken to Creighton University Medical Center-Bergan Mercy for neck abrasions, headache and general aches and pains. McAlexander was taken to the Nebraska Medical Center for unknown injuries and a potential medical episode that might have contributed to the collision.
McAlexander was charged with driving under suspension and reckless driving.
