ST. ALBANS, ME : One person killed in two-car crash in St. Albans on August, Tuesday 22nd 2017

One person was killed in a two-car crash this morning in St. Albans, according to the Somerset County Sheriff's Office.

The crash happened around 10:30 a.m. at the intersection of Square Road and Corinna Road. According to the press release, Nadia Viles, 28, hit a car being driven by 63-year-old Madeline Nangle, who was driving through the intersection.

Nangle was life-flighted to Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor where she later died.

Both Viles and Nangle's 7-year-old granddaughter, who was in the backseat of Nangle's car, were hospitalized with not life threatening injuries.

Both vehicles are total losses and have been impounded. Authorities are investigating the crash.
