Towson, MD : Three hurt when SUV crashes into Maryland building on Thursday at the Drumcastle Government Center in Towson on July 31, 2014
Police say three people were injured when an SUV crashed into a building that houses county offices in Maryland.
It happened about 8:40 a.m. Thursday at the Drumcastle Government Center in Towson.
Baltimore County officers say 48-year-old Hiwot Arbi was speeding through the building's parking lot when she hit a parked car.
Police say Arbi's SUV hit a curb, became airborne and crashed through the wall.
Authorities say the building was evacuated. People were allowed to return after engineers found damage to be superficial.
Police say a woman in the building was at a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Arbi and a passenger were hurt but refused treatment.
Arbi was charged with failure to reduce speed to avoid a collision. A message left at a phone number listed under an address for Arbi wasn't immediately returned.
