Romney, IN : Three injured in pickup truck head-on crash on Monday October 10 2016
Twenty-two-year-old Brandon Harral's eastbound pickup truck veered left of center on Indiana 28 near County Road 300 East about 9 a.m. Monday and into the path of a westbound semi, according to Tippecanoe County Sheriff's Office.
The impact of the crash knocked Harral's truck on its roof and injured Harral, of Stockwell, and his two passengers, according to the sheriff's office.
One of Harral's passengers, Moriah Harral, 21, was airlifted to an Indianapolis hospital with serious injuries, according to Tippecanoe County Sheriff's Office.
Brandon Harrell and his other passenger, Jennifer Harral, 42, were treated at a local hospital, according to the sheriff's office.
The driver of the semi, Robert Selig of Goodland,refused medical treatment and told police he was not injured, according to the sheriff's office.
The state highway was closed for several hours to allow deputies to investigate the crash. Deputies indicated they are investigating whether drugs or distracted driving played a role in Monday's crash.
