Deadly accident on Highway 98 in George County in Mississippi

A Lucedale woman was killed Wednesday morning in a wreck on Highway 98 in George County. The crash happened around 7:10am.According to MS Highway Patrol investigators, an 18-wheeler driven by a Florida man struck a 1991 Dodge SUV as it tried to cross Hwy. 98. The driver of the SUV, Melissa Butler, 28, was pronounced dead on scene.The crash is still under investigation, but investigators tell WLOX News that neither speed nor alcohol are believed to be factors.
