3 dead in Hazel Green head-on collision near Alabama

Three people are dead after a head-on collision in Madison County on Sunday night.State troopers say the crash happened around 11:30 in Hazel Green. Roads were closed near the wreckage until about 4 a.m.A passenger in one of the cars was able to escape from the wreckage before the vehicle burst into flames.

She was airlifted to a local hospital and was listed in serious condition.
State police are investigating the cause of the accident.Hazel Green is about 17 miles north of Huntsville.
