Albany,OR : Two sent to hospital after Santiam Highway wreck on June, thursday 8th 2017
Two people were transported to Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center in Corvallis on Thursday afternoon after a head-on collision between two vehicles near the intersection of Timber Street and Santiam Highway.
Albany Fire Department officials had to use the Jaws of Life to extricate the driver and passenger in one of the vehicles involved, a PT Cruiser. The other vehicle in the wreck was a Ford Explorer.
An Albany Police Department officer at the scene said he could not comment on the accident, and referred questions about the wreck to the lieutenant on duty at the department.
Albany police officer Ken Fandrem was investigating the accident and was at the Corvallis hospital with the injured parties, according to Albany Police officials.
