Amarillo , TX : 21- Years old woman was injured on Saturday morning , December 20th 2014crashed and fall asleep at the wheel on Saturday morning , December 20th 2014

Police say a 21-year-old woman who crashed her vehicle into a U.S. Cleaners fell asleep at the wheel. The incident happened early Saturday morning off of Wolfin Avenue and Georgia Street.

According to Sgt. Berry Carden with the Amarillo Police Department, the driver was traveling eastbound when she crossed all lanes of traffic and crashed head on into the side of the U.S. Cleaners building.

The woman was taken to the hospital with minor injuries. It was a single car accident.

Once the Amarillo Fire Department arrived on scene, they began to remove the car from the side of the building. Responders then built a support to brace the ceiling and one wall of the building to prevent it from collapsing.
