Jefferson City, MO : A Holts Summit man was killed in a two-vehicle crash on Thursday, December, 7th 2017

A Holts Summit man was killed in a two-vehicle crash Thursday morning in Boone County.

Missouri Highway Patrol reports show the crash occurred on U.S. 63, just north of Zumwalt Road, at 6:35 a.m.

Aaron Meeks, 33, of Holts Summit, was traveling at a high rate of speed and struck the rear of a dump truck driven by Jimmy Bittle, 32, of Hartsburg.

Meeks, who was not wearing a seat belt, was pronounced dead a the scene. Bittle, who was wearing a seat belt, had no reported injuries.
