ESCONDIDO, CA : Boy, 13, killed in alleged DUI collision in Escondido on Sunday, 28th April 2024

A 13-year-old boy identified by his family as Rodrigo Tapia Junior, suffered fatal injuries in a two-vehicle crash in Escondido that allegedly involved an impaired driver, authorities said Sunday.

The collision occurred around 10 p.m. Saturday at the intersection of North Broadway and Country Club Lane, according to the Escondido Police Department.
