BREMEN, KY : KSP investigating collision south of Bremen on Tuesday, February 7th 2017
The Kentucky State Police is investigating a two-vehicle collision that injured two, and occurred approximately one mile south of Bremen on Billy Drake Road at approximately 7:54 a.m. Tuesday.
According to the agency, a preliminary investigation revealed that 34-year-old Candice Simpson, of Bremen was traveling north on Billy Drake Road in a 2012 VW Jetta, while Raymond Kornick, 59, of Greenville was operating a 2013 Dodge Avenger and traveling south on the same road.
As both drivers topped a hillcrest, they reportedly collided head-on.
Both Simpson and Kornick were transported by Muhlenberg County EMS to Owensboro Health Muhlenberg Community Hospital for treatment of injuries.
Simpson was not restrained, while Kornick was wearing his seatbelt, a release said.
KSP Trooper Jerry Knight is investigating the collision and was assisted at the scene by KSP Trooper Jacob Fortney, Bremen Volunteer Fire Department and Muhlenberg County EMS.
