Trumbull, CT : Merritt Parkway southbound reopens in Trumbull after car crash with injuries on Wednesday, 22nd April, 2020

A car crash with injuries closed the southbound lanes of the Merritt Parkway for more than four hours late Wednesday afternoon and evening near Trumbull.
State police closed the highway between exits 47 and 49 after the crash a few minutes after 4:30 p.m. and it remained closed for a police investigation until 9 p.m., when the road finally reopened, state police said.
Injuries were reported, according to state police, but it was not immediately clear how many people were hurt or the extent of those injuries. State police have not released further information about the crash late Wednesday.
