Fairmont, W.V : Two people injured after a tractor trailer crash on Interstate 79 in Marion County on Thursday morning, May 5, 2016
Two people were taken to the hospital after a tractor trailer accident on Interstate 79 Thursday morning.
According to dispatchers with the Marion County 911 Center, around 4:30 a.m. Thursday a tractor trailer was traveling north on I-79 when it crashed and flipped into the southbound lanes near the Prickett's Creek exit in Marion County. The vehicle went over the guard rail and down an embankment.
Two people inside the truck were taken to Ruby Memorial Hospital. No other vehicles were involved in the crash.
The southbound entrance ramp of the Prickett's Creek exit on I-79 is closed.
The Marion County Rescue Squad, Marion County Sheriff's Department and Valley and Winfield District volunteer fire departments responded to the scene.
