WEST VALLEY CITY, UT : 10-year-old girl in critical condition after crash on Mountain View Corridor on Saturday, 29th July 2023

Two people were taken to the hospital after a crash that forced the closure of southbound lanes on Mountain View Corridor.

The crash happened around 1:20 p.m. at the 4100 South intersection.

Officials said a car was driving westbound and appeared to run a red light, crossing into oncoming traffic.

Lt. Steve Beardshall from the West Valley Police Department said a commercial truck traveling southbound through the intersection struck the vehicle.
