Denton, TX : Woman dies after crashing into Denton ISD school bus in McKinney on Thursday, September 14th 2017

One woman died Thursday night after hitting the back of a Denton ISD school bus that was stopped at a red light in McKinney.
McKinney police identified the deceased woman as 22-year-old Caitlyn Haynes. She was driving a Jeep Wrangler westbound on U.S. Highway 380 when she struck the bus about 11 p.m. at the stop light at Wisteria Way, police said.
Fifteen tennis players from Braswell High School had been on the bus. One was taken to a hospital but has since been released, according to Denton ISD spokesman Mario Zavala.
He said they were coming back from a tennis match when they felt a jolt on the bus. After the crash, an extra bus picked them up. Several kids were picked up by their parents.
Police could not confirm whether distracted driving, drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash. Zavala said the woman was driving at a high speed before the crash.
