Winthrop, ME : Driver and passenger injuries after two vehicles collided Route 202 on Wednesday February 17 2016
Route 202 reopened Wednesday evening following a crash, officials said.
Officials said the crash involved three cars and injuries were reported. The road was closed between Annabessacook Road in Monmouth and Old Lewiston Road in Winthrop.
Alison Thomas, of Waterville, was driving a 2015 White Dodge Dart when she rear-ended a 2006 Black Volkswagen Jetta driven by Kent Poole, of Monmouth, police said.
The collision sent the two vehicles careening into the westbound lane, causing a Dave’s Appliances of Winthrop truck to roll over.
The driver and passenger of the Volkswagen Jetta were taken to Central Maine Medical in Lewiston.
The crash was reported around 4 p.m. The road reopened at 5:30 p.m.
