Oregon State Police is investigating a single vehicle crash on U.S. 26 that left one 18-year-old man dead this weekend.

Leonard John Radinovich, 18, of John Day, was driving his silver Toyota 4-Runner at approximately 5:12 a.m. on Sunday when he lost control of his car near milepost 152 in Grant County.

The car "veered off the highway, rolled and came to rest in a near-by field," according to a news release from Oregon State Police.

Radinovich was not wearing his seatbelt and was ejected from the car. He was pronounced dead at the scene. His passenger, a 15-year-old, was wearing a seatbelt and was not injured in the crash, police said.

Investigators are looking into whether alcohol was the contributing factor of the crash.
