Arlington, TX : Man Dead After Fatal Motorcycle Accident on Saturday, August 2, 2014

A man in his 50s was killed Saturday when the motorcycle he was driving was hit by a car that was turning into a business parking lot in the 1700 block of West Arkansas Lane. Police continue to investigate the wreck, which happened at about 1:40 p.m. The driver of the car, a woman in her 80s, tried to turn left across the westbound lanes of Arkansas Lane to enter a business parking lot on the north side of the roadway, police said. The man, who was wearing a helmet, was pronounced dead at the scene. The woman was treated for minor injuries. Westbound Arkansas was closed west of Fielder for about 3 1/2 hours during the investigation.
