Lynchburg, VA : A two-vehicle wreck on April, Thursday 27th 2017
A two-vehicle wreck at the intersection of U.S. 221 and Gristmill Drive in Forest left two people injured Thursday night.
Charles Cobb, 64, of Madison Heights, was trapped in a 2006 dark blue Volvo and extricated from the vehicle, Forest Volunteer Fire Department District Chief Monty Coleman said.
Melvin Hawkins, 74, of Lynchburg, was driving a 2002 Oldsmobile and tried to take a left onto Gristmill Drive when he was struck by Cobb who had been driving northbound on U.S. 221, Virginia State Police Trooper M. D. Mayhew said.
