TAMPA, FL : Man dead after alcohol-fueled, red-light crash on Wednesday, January 4th 2017
An early Wednesday crash involving three cars in Tampa left on man dead, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Around 3:23 a.m., a 28-year-old Brandon man was driving in the center lane on westbound Adamo Drive toward the intersection of Falkenburg Road.
A second car, a 2005 Acura TSX whose driver’s identity has not been released pending next of kin notification, was southbound in the inside left turn lane of Falkenburg Road, according to FHP. A third car carrying four people was facing east at a red light on Adamo Drive.
As the second car made a left turn into the intersection, the 28-year-old Brandon man drove through the red light and hit the driver side of the second car, according to FHP.
The back end of one car was completely missing, and debris was scattered all over the roadway, some of which hit the third car.
