NEWBERRY COUNTY, SC : Crash shuts down all lanes on I-26 in Newberry County on Wednesday, 28th August 2024

A three-vehicle collision killed in two people dead and injured two others, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol.

The Lexington County Coroner has identified the victims as 47-year-old LaRhondaGibson and 23-month-old Ketron Gibson Jr. of Newberry.

All lanes were blocked on I-26 in Lexington County, according to officials.

Authorities said the crash happened around 2:45 AM Thursday on I-26 West near mile marker 90.

LaRhonda and Ketron were in a Nissan sedan behind a tractor-trailer and both vehicles slowed down for traffic.
