Florida Highway Patrol on Wednesday released details about a crash that killed a 27-year-old motorcyclist and injured his 11-year-old passenger. Richard Schoeneck, of Venice, was heading west on Clark Road near Interstate 75, when an 82-year-old Sarasota man turned his eastbound Lincoln Town Car left into the motorcycle's path, according to an FHP report. Schoeneck fell onto the pavement, and his passenger, an 11-year-old girl, was thrown onto the pavement in front of where the collision happened, FHP said. The care came to rest in the grass shoulder on the southbound entrance ramp to I-75, and motorcycle came to rest in the eastbound lanes of Clark Road.
