A 47-year-old Sparr woman was killed in a single-car crash in northwest Marion County Sunday night, the second fatal crash in the county over the weekend that involved a lone vehicle.

According to a news release from the Florida Highway Patrol, Yolanda Jamerson Smith was driving a 2008 Dodge Charger north on Northeast 30th Court at County Road 329 when the crash occurred around 9:10 p.m.

The report states that Smith “steered in a northeasterly direction” and the car “rotated slightly clockwise” and hit a fence and tree.

Smith was taken to the Ocala Regional Medical Center, where she was pronounced deceased at 9:39 p.m., according to the report.

On Saturday night, Scott Alan Wise, 46, of Weirsdale, was killed in a single car roll-over crash on I-75 southbound, just south of the State Road 200 interchange.
