A woman is in the hospital Sunday night after losing control of her car and crashing into a tree in Farmington, New Hampshire.

Farmington police officers say a 67-year-old woman and her dog were traveling west on Route 11 just before 6 p.m. when she suddenly lost control of the car.

She veered off the road and hit a snowbank, causing her car to go airborne and slam into a tree, according to the Farmington Police Department.

Police say the woman was in stable condition when they took her to a nearby hospital.

The dog was taken to a nearby vet to be evaluated.

Police are investigating the crash.
