HANSON COUNTY, SD : 29-year-old woman dies when car crashes, goes into Rock Creek on Sunday, 15th July 2018

One woman died when her car veered off the road, eventually landing upside-down and partially submerged in Rock Creek on Sunday two miles east of Mitchell.

The 29-year-old woman, whose name has not yet been released, was northbound on 413th Avenue, aka Riverside Road, when her 2006 Chevrolet Malibu drifted across the road and into the creek’s west ditch, according to the South Dakota Department of Public Safety. The car eventually went into the creek.
