WARRENS, WI : Single-vehicle crash on Sunday, July 23, 2017

A passenger died early Sunday in single-vehicle crash in the village of Warrens.

The crash occurred at 1:55 a.m. on Hwy. EW near the intersection of Jellystone Park Drive, according to the Monroe County Sheriff's Department.

The driver was identified as Yancy K. Dieter, 44, of Warrens. The name of the passenger is being withheld pending notification of family members.

The 2006 Crown Victoria Dieter was driving was traveling east when it left the road, struck telephone service boxes, went into some trees and rolled onto its top. Speed and alcohol are believed to be factors in the crash.

Dieter was taken to Tomah Memorial Hospital after sustaining serious injuries in the crash.
