COLUMBIA CITY, IN : A multi-vehicle crash on U.S. 30 on Thursday, September 14, 2017

A multi-vehicle crash on U.S. 30 near CR 800 E about 4:30 p.m. Thursday has caused highway gridlock, essentially turning the dual-lane highway into a parking lot.

Avoid the area and use an alternate route while crews are working the accident and opening the highway for normal travel.

Initial reports indicated that continuing highway construction was at the location of the accident.
