A Lexington man died early Sunday morning in a crash in Lexington County. It happened around 1:45 a.m. on West Main Street near the town of Lexington. Troopers say the driver of an SUV struck a pole, causing the SUV to overturn. The driver was not wearing a seat belt and died at the scene, troopers say. Lexington County Coroner Earl Wells identified the man as Darryl Leaphart, 51, of Lexington. The cause of the crash is still under investigation by the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
