Mississippi County, AR : 1 person killed, 4 injured in a two-vehicle crash on U.S. Highway 61 in Mississippi County on Sunday evening, February 1, 2015
One woman was killed and 4 others were injured in a 2-vehicle crash in Mississippi County.
Jo Ann Carmichael, 38, of Luxora was killed in the crash that happened Sunday evening, according to Arkansas State Police.
Carmichael was traveling north on U.S. Highway 61 in a Toyota Camry. The ASP crash report states Charles Robinson of Blytheville was traveling south in a Kia Sorento and attempted to turn onto Arkansas Highway 140 when he was struck by Carmichael in the northbound lane.
Robinson and Carmichael's two passengers, Blake Smith and Laura Costello, were injured in the crash along with an unnamed minor.
All 5 people were taken to a Memphis hospital after the crash. There is no word on the condition of those injured.
It is unclear which vehicle the minor was in based on the crash report. Information about the minor is limited to due a new ASP policy.
