Three people are dead and two others are seriously injured after a car accident early Friday morning.
Albuquerque police were called around 2 a.m. to the intersection of Osuna Road and Pennsylvania Street in northeast Albuquerque after a car drove into an arroyo.
An officer at the scene told Action 7 News that a car was traveling north on Pennsylvania and was speeding when the driver ran a stop sign and drove into the arroyo.
Officials say the car went airborne before crashing.
Officers said three people were ejected from the car.
APD had its helicopter up for a while. Police said it was to make sure they have found all crash victims. Right now, the identities of the victims have not been released.
Osuna and Pennsylvania were closed off to traffic during the investigation.
