Pittsburgh, PA : Motorist injured after Harrison crash on Wednesday morning, April 5, 2017
A motorist was taken to Allegheny General Hospital on Wednesday morning after she was thrown from her car in Harrison, officials said.
Sean Jones, fire chief of Citizens Hose, said the woman was exiting Route 28 via Exit 15 southbound when her vehicle went into a guardrail on Burtner Road.
She was taken to the Pittsburgh hospital by ambulance with a non-life threatening injury.
The road was closed for roughly 45 minutes following the accident, which took place at about 10:15 a.m.
Harrison police officer John Svitek said that the incident is under investigation.
Officer Kenneth Hanzlik did not know the identity of the woman early Wednesday evening.
