Tallahassee,FL : Victoria man hurt after crashing into trailer on November, Tuesday 14th 2017
A 49-year-old Victoria man was taken to a hospital Tuesday evening after a two-vehicle wreck.
The Victoria Police Department responded to the 4500 block of Port Lavaca Drive about 6:35 p.m. Tuesday after a westbound Mitsubishi Lancer rear-ended a tractor-trailer, said Shaun Jackson, patrol officer.
A westbound tractor-trailer, driven by Peter Murphy, 55, of Sarasota, Fla., made an improper turn from the outside lane as it attempted to turn left to Big Vic Truck Stop, Jackson said.
The Mitsubishi, driven by Sean Gregory, 49, of Victoria, was behind the tractor-trailer and did not see it turning before rear-ending the trailer, Jackson said.
Gregory was stuck under the trailer and had to be removed from the vehicle with the help of the Victoria Fire Department.
Jackson said Murphy was given a citation for improper turn.
Gregory was sent to the Citizens Medical Center with non life-threatening injuries, Jackson said.
