Monroe, MI : One person injured after a three vehicle crash in Lasalle Township on Tuesday, September 13, 2016

At least one person was taken by air ambulance to a Toledo hospital after a three vehicle crash Tuesday.

The crash occurred around 12:20 p.m. on S. Telegraph Rd. south of S. Otter Creek and Yargerville Rd.

Two vehicles and a flat bed collided along the roadway. Two people were in each of the vehicles and one person was driving the truck, according to emergency personnel on scene.

A man was extricated by LaSalle Volunteer Fire Department before he was taken by the air ambulance from the scene.

The extent of injuries in unknown at this time.

Monroe Township Fire Department, troopers from the Michigan State Police, Monroe Post, and Monroe Community Ambulance assisted at the scene.

The area remains closed to traffic.
