WEST ASHLEY, SC : Coroner identifies driver killed in West Ashley accident on Wednesday, 4th April 2018

Authorities have identified the man who died in an accident in West Ashley Wednesday afternoon.
The Charleston County Coroner's Office says 41-year-old James Allen of Johns Island was pronounced dead at St. Francis hospital.
An autopsy is pending.
The accident happened in the area of Glenn McConnell Parkway and Bairds Cove around 3:30 p.m.
According to Highway Patrol Trooper Matt Southern, an F-350 truck was traveling north on Glenn McConnell Parkway when it ran off the side of the road.
The truck then struck a traffic light pole at the Bairds Cove intersection.
Only one vehicle was involved in the crash.
