Greenbelt , MD : 77 Years old man was killed after stolen ambulance crashed into 12 Vehicles on Sunday evening , December 14th 2014
A 77-year-old Greenbelt man was killed in a fatal car crash Sunday involving a man police believe then stole an ambulance and crashed into 12 other vehicles.
Prince George’s County police have arrested Sebastian Isaksen, 34, of Silver Spring and charged him with carjacking, assault and charges related to the carjacking, according to police.
Police believe Isaksen was involved in an accident on the Capital Beltway on Sunday evening, and then carjacked an ambulance that stopped to help, police said. Officers caught up with Isaksen around 6 p.m. Sunday on the 6200 block of Greenbelt Road, where he hit 12 other cars, mostly unoccupied, before overturning in a restaurant parking lot, police said.
A Greenbelt man, 77-year-old Alvin Hargrave, was killed in the initial crash and a 36-year-old pregnant passenger in Hargrave’s car was transported to a hospital where she was last reported in stable condition, said police spokesman Bill Alexander.
Isaksen had no criminal record listed publicly through the Maryland court system.
Isaksen, who also was injured, is under custody at a local hospital and will be remanded to the Department of Corrections at some point in the future, Alexander said.
