RILEY TWP, OH : Alcohol believed to be involved in deadly crash on Ohio Turnpike on Tuesday, 18th June 2024

Authorities say alcohol is believed to be involved in a crash on the turnpike Tuesday that left one man dead.

According to Ohio State Highway Patrol, the two-vehicle crash happened on the turnpike near milepost 94 in Riley Township in Sandusky County, east of the SR 53 interchange, around 7:00 a.m. on June 18. Avery Wayne Pierce Jr., 34, of Virginia, died from his injuries.
