SACRAMENTO, CA : 1 in critical condition after crash on southbound Highway 160 near the Del Paso Boulevard on-ramp on Saturday, 16th November, 2019

A woman is in critical condition after a crash in Sacramento on Saturday, according to the Sacramento Fire Department.

The crash happened on southbound Highway 160 near the Del Paso Boulevard on-ramp.Officials said a woman rolled out of the back seat of a Jeep. A vehicle in the lane next to the Jeep swerved to avoid the woman, but another vehicle was unable to swerve in time and struck her, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The woman was taken to a nearby hospital with major injuries, officials said.

The crash temporarily shut down parts of Highway 160, but all lanes have since reopened.
