NAUGATUCK, CT : Naugatuck Police search for driver in serious hit and run on Friday, October, 7th 2017
Naugatuck Police are looking for the suspect who allegedly crashed a stolen car into another car, leaving others seriously injured before fleeing the scene Friday night.
Police say at around 9:19 p.m., officers responded to a serious two vehicle collision that happened at the intersection of Prospect Street and Locust Street. An investigation determined that an Audi, driven by an unknown male, was traveling eastbound on Prospect Street when it collided with an Acura that was attempting to turn left onto Locust Street.The driver of the Audi fled on foot following the crash. Police later learned that the Audi was reported stolen from Waterbury. Witnesses described the driver of the Audi as a black male, with an average build, wearing a white hat, blue jeans and white sneakers.
The occupants of the Acura sustained serious injuries in the crash and were taken to St. Mary’s Hospital for treatment. Their current conditions and identities are unknown at this time.
